Observability Specialist

📋 Description

• • As an Observability Specialist at Deel, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable observability solutions for cloud-native environments, ensuring high availability, scalability, and fault tolerance across AWS and Kubernetes (EKS) infrastructures.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include operating and maintaining self-hosted monitoring stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Mimir, Loki, Tempo), managing and optimizing DataDog for metrics, logs, APM, and alerts, automating infrastructure via Terraform and Helm, integrating monitoring into CI/CD pipelines (with GitHub Actions as an advantage), and supporting capacity planning and performance tuning initiatives.
• • You will collaborate closely with DevOps, SRE, and Engineering teams to embed observability best practices, drive continuous improvement of monitoring standards, and implement cost optimization strategies such as log/trace sampling and retention policies.
