📋 Description

• As an Operational DevOps Engineer Senior at CSG Systems International, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of infrastructure and applications that support global customer experiences. Your work directly enables seamless service delivery by maintaining and improving the systems that power digital operations across time zones.
• Day to day, you will troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues, collaborate with development and QA teams on product installations and configurations, conduct incident post-mortems, implement preventive measures, manage system performance monitoring, and participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure rapid incident resolution. You will also drive automation initiatives for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• You will join a global Operations team within CSG, a company with over 40 years of experience empowering brands to connect with customers through innovative technology. The team operates across multiple time zones, values collaboration, and is committed to technical excellence, continuous improvement, and supporting both internal and external stakeholders.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in enterprise-scale DevOps practices, lead cross-functional incident resolution, influence technical direction through automation and process improvements, mentor junior engineers, and gain hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS), databases (Oracle, MySQL), and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, SaltStack), positioning you for broader leadership in site reliability and platform engineering.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering (Electrical, Software, or Telecommunications) or a related field
• Minimum 8–10 years’ experience with development and release processes
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Subversion, Git, Azure DevOps, SaltStack) and ability to design and optimize pipelines
• Experience monitoring, configuring, managing, deploying, and upgrading servers and software across internal, customer-facing, and production environments
• Experience with RDS database applications (Oracle, MySQL), including administration tools and performance optimization
• Deep understanding of networking, security, and monitoring principles for enterprise-scale systems
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform) for automated provisioning and configuration
• Software development experience on Linux platforms using common scripting languages (Perl, Python, Groovy, Ruby, bash)
• Proficiency in cloud platform tools such as AWS Cloud Services, CloudTrail, Lambda, System Manager, and Disaster Recovery Solutions
• Ability to work independently and lead resolution of complex, cross-functional issues
• Proven collaboration skills, including written and verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders across multiple time zones
• Experience with Agile and product management methodologies and tools
