• • The Operational Engineer I role at CSG Systems International is critical to ensuring software releases are stable, secure, and production-ready by validating operational integrity before deployment. This position directly supports business continuity and customer satisfaction by minimizing service disruptions through proactive system optimization and rigorous testing.
• • Day-to-day responsibilities include proactively monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing F5 LTM/GTM appliances and related systems to ensure peak performance and reliability; troubleshooting complex incidents with root cause analysis and preventive fixes; analyzing traffic and system performance data to recommend infrastructure improvements; developing and deploying automation scripts (using Python, Ansible, Bash, .NET, or C#) to reduce manual toil and enhance CI/CD pipeline efficiency; identifying process gaps and designing innovative solutions for operational excellence; collaborating with application, network, and platform teams on installations, configurations, upgrades, and daily operations of business-critical systems; participating in capacity planning and scaling initiatives to meet growing demand; mentoring junior engineers by sharing best practices and fostering a proactive, improvement-focused mindset; and maintaining precise documentation of configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions.

• • In this role, the engineer will deepen expertise in F5 BIG-IP LTM/GTM environments, gain hands-on experience with modern DevOps practices and CI/CD toolchains (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps), and strengthen automation and scripting skills across multiple languages.
