- • As an Operations Manager at Coinbase Canada (CBCA), you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and compliant execution of all operational functions, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Coinbase Canada.
- • This role demands a strategic and hands-on approach to overseeing product and regulatory operations, service delivery, technology, and outsourcing partnerships, all while driving country-level growth initiatives aligned with both Canadian market priorities and Coinbase’s overarching global strategy.
- • You will be instrumental in supporting the COO by providing effective oversight and management of operational activities, both within CBCA and through intragroup or third-party entities.
- • A key responsibility will be the implementation and refinement of operational policies and procedures, ensuring they meet the highest standards of efficiency and compliance.
- • You will be deeply involved in overseeing risk management processes, ensuring that potential threats are identified, assessed, and mitigated proactively.
- • This includes the meticulous oversight of Service Level Agreement (SLA) frameworks, ensuring that all services, whether delivered internally or by third-party providers, consistently meet contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
- • A significant aspect of your role will involve establishing, maintaining, and owning key supervision activities across critical business areas of Coinbase Canada, including trading, staking, and custody operations, adhering strictly to both regulatory mandates and industry best practices.
- • You will be a champion for operational resilience, overseeing the development and maintenance of robust frameworks designed to ensure that critical business functions can continue uninterrupted, even in the face of unforeseen disruptions.
- • This involves proactively identifying and assessing potential operational risks, developing comprehensive contingency plans, and implementing effective measures to fortify against operational vulnerabilities.
- • In the event of operational incidents, you will be responsible for coordinating swift and effective responses, facilitating clear and timely communication with all relevant stakeholders, including regulators and third-party service providers, to uphold operational continuity and minimize impact.
- • Building and nurturing strong relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including financial institutions and regulatory bodies, will be crucial for effectively communicating operational and risk strategies.
- • You will project manage critical operations and risk-related initiatives, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams spanning legal, compliance, security, finance, product, customer service, and more, ensuring alignment and successful project delivery.
- • Your support will extend across key areas of 1 Lod Operations, including the thorough assessment and approval of planned launches, optimizing staffing and organizational structures, and managing audit processes.
- • This role requires a proactive mindset, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to develop new processes and enhance existing ones to drive greater efficiencies and effectiveness across the Canadian operations.
- • You will thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with a broad spectrum of business functions, particularly with senior management, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate complex operational strategies clearly and persuasively.
