Full Job Description
📋 Description
- • As an Operations Senior Associate at Coinbase, you will play a pivotal role within the UK Growth & Ops team, contributing significantly to the oversight and enhancement of all aspects of Coinbase's UK operations. This dynamic position involves managing the intricate details of our equities and derivatives business, ensuring seamless daily operations from customer onboarding and trade routing to the meticulous oversight of outsourced service delivery.
- • You will be instrumental in the design and successful launch of the equities business, transitioning to ongoing Business As Usual (BAU) ownership post-launch. This requires a proactive approach to understanding and managing complex financial operations.
- • A core responsibility will be the analysis of operational data to identify critical trends, pinpoint emerging issues, and uncover opportunities for increased efficiency and improved service delivery. Your insights will directly support data-driven decision-making, shaping strategic initiatives and operational adjustments.
- • You will lead and actively support process improvement projects, focusing on strengthening internal controls, reducing manual effort through automation and optimization, and ultimately elevating the customer experience. This involves a deep dive into existing workflows and the implementation of innovative solutions.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work hand-in-hand with Compliance, Risk, Finance, and Product teams to ensure all operational processes strictly adhere to MiFID and FCA standards, maintaining regulatory integrity and operational excellence.
- • You will contribute significantly to the operational readiness for new product launches, system changes, and evolving regulatory initiatives. This demands foresight, meticulous planning, and effective cross-functional coordination.
- • A crucial aspect of your role will be partnering closely with the Product team. You will leverage your deep operational insights and customer learnings to inform and shape product strategy, ensuring that future builds and iterations are aligned with market needs and operational realities.
- • Beyond specific business lines, you will lead additional high-impact initiatives within the Growth & Ops team. This involves driving operational efficiency across the board and making substantial contributions to the overall growth strategy of Coinbase UK.
- • The role requires a self-starter mentality, a strong willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving industry, and the drive to take ownership of tasks and projects, growing alongside the business.
- • You will be expected to develop and maintain a strong understanding of operational processes related to order flow, settlement, and derivatives trading, with a particular emphasis on products subject to MiFID regulations.
- • Problem-solving will be a daily occurrence. You will need to tackle ambiguous problems, break them down into clear, structured work plans, and execute these plans with speed and precision.
- • This position offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the emerging onchain platform, contributing to the future of the global financial system. You will be part of a mission-driven organization that values innovation, collaboration, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
- • The role demands a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, especially given the fast-paced environment of financial services and cryptocurrency. You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity and reliability of operational processes.
- • You will contribute to building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders and potentially external service providers, fostering a collaborative and efficient operational ecosystem.
- • The position is remote, based in the UK, offering flexibility while requiring in-person participation for team and company-wide offsites to foster collaboration and alignment.
- • You will be part of a culture that is intense and rewarding, working with high-caliber colleagues who expect the best from each other and are dedicated to achieving ambitious goals.
🎯 Requirements
- • Prior experience in financial services, ideally within capital markets, trading, or post-trade operations.

- • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is critical.
- • Self-starter with a willingness to learn, take ownership, and grow with the business.
