- • The Optical Engineer I role at Astreya Partners, Inc. is critical to maintaining and expanding the company’s optical network infrastructure by ensuring accurate cross-connects, resolving system discrepancies, and supporting space, power, and fiber management initiatives that directly impact network reliability and scalability.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating and processing cross-connect orders, validating installations against specifications, investigating and remediating Asgardian audit fallout tickets, tracking space and power utilization for optical equipment, and supporting Fiber Management System (FMS) data integrity through audits, migrations, and site onboarding.
- • Astreya Partners, Inc. is a technology services provider specializing in IT infrastructure, network operations, and data center solutions, serving clients across industries with a focus on operational excellence and technical precision in remote and hybrid environments.
- • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in fiber optic infrastructure, data center operations, and network documentation systems while gaining hands-on experience with ticketing tools, spreadsheets, and cross-functional collaboration — building a strong foundation for advancement in optical engineering or network operations.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- • Basic understanding of fiber optic infrastructure (single-mode, multi-mode, connectors, patch panels)
- • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- • Proficiency with spreadsheets and ticketing systems
- • Effective written and verbal communication skills
