📋 Description

• The OptiTrack Working Student role at Monumental involves taking ownership of the motion capture calibration process for robotics systems during evenings and weekends, ensuring smooth operation of automated calibration procedures.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include driving robots to and from calibration areas using a Nintendo-style nunchuk controller, setting up test spaces, initiating and monitoring automated calibration, logging issues for engineers, and securing the headquarters after shifts.
• Monumental is a fast-growing robotics and software startup automating on-site construction, with a team of ~100 engineers and technicians from top tech companies, based in central Amsterdam with an in-house workshop and robot testing facility.
• The role offers hands-on experience with cutting-edge robotics, mentorship from computer vision engineers who designed the calibration system, and the opportunity to study or work on personal projects during supervised monitoring periods while contributing to a high-impact mission in construction automation.

🎯 Requirements

• Reliable and available to work evenings (5pm–11pm) and weekends (10am–4pm)
• Sharp attention to detail and commitment to doing tasks correctly
• Based in the Netherlands, eligible to work, and able to commute to Amsterdam onsite
• Comfortable working with hardware and robotics setups (preferred)
• Background in software engineering or related technical field (preferred)
