- • Embark on a transformative journey as an Oracle HCM Payroll Consultant, where you will be instrumental in shaping and optimizing human capital management strategies for our diverse clientele. This role is critical in bridging the gap between complex business needs and the powerful capabilities of Oracle's Human Capital Management Cloud (HCM) suite, with a specific focus on the payroll module.
- • You will dive deep into understanding client requirements, meticulously analyzing their current payroll processes, and translating these insights into functional specifications that align seamlessly with Oracle HCM functionalities. Your expertise will guide clients in adopting best practices, ensuring their payroll operations are efficient, compliant, and strategically aligned with their overall business objectives.
- • A core responsibility involves leading the configuration, customization, and deployment of Oracle HCM Payroll and related modules. This includes setting up pay rules, processing calendars, tax reporting, and other critical payroll components. You will be the go-to expert for ensuring the system accurately reflects client-specific payroll logic and regulatory requirements.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, technical consultants, and client stakeholders, to design and implement comprehensive, end-to-end HCM solutions. Your ability to communicate complex technical details and functional designs to both technical and non-technical audiences will be paramount to project success.
- • Provide expert guidance and thought leadership on Oracle HCM implementation best practices, focusing on payroll. This involves advising clients on optimal system design, data migration strategies, change management, and post-go-live support to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
- • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for end-users and system administrators. Empowering clients with the knowledge and skills to effectively manage and utilize the Oracle HCM system is a crucial aspect of ensuring long-term adoption and client satisfaction.
- • Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance activities throughout the implementation lifecycle. This includes developing test scripts, executing test scenarios, and validating system performance to guarantee the reliability, accuracy, and integrity of the payroll solution.
- • Act as a primary point of contact for troubleshooting and resolving system issues that arise during implementation and post-go-live phases. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in diagnosing issues, developing solutions, and implementing necessary fixes or enhancements.
- • Proactively stay abreast of the latest Oracle HCM product updates, new features, and emerging trends in payroll and human capital management. This continuous learning will enable you to recommend and implement innovative solutions that keep clients at the forefront of HR technology.
- • Contribute to the development of reusable assets, methodologies, and best practices within the SMX consulting practice, sharing your knowledge and experience to elevate the team's overall capabilities.
- • This is a remote position, offering flexibility while requiring approximately 40% travel to support client engagements, primarily for teams based in Herndon, VA, and San Diego, CA. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team, contributing to impactful projects that drive significant value for our clients.
- • Your role will involve detailed analysis of business requirements, mapping them to Oracle HCM functionalities, and ensuring optimal alignment for payroll processes. You will be responsible for the successful configuration, customization, and deployment of Oracle HCM modules, collaborating with diverse teams to design and implement robust end-to-end HCM solutions.
- • You will provide expert guidance on best practices for Oracle HCM implementation and maintenance, develop and deliver effective training sessions, and conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure system reliability and performance. Troubleshooting and resolving system issues, along with staying updated on Oracle HCM product advancements, will be key to your success in this role.
