- • Lyte, Inc. is at the forefront of building perception systems for Physical AI, designed to operate seamlessly in complex, real-world environments. Our innovative platform integrates custom silicon, advanced sensors, and sophisticated software, driving advancements in robotics, mobility, and next-generation automation. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, with a growing global footprint, Lyte is where impactful technology is conceived and brought to life. If you are passionate about developing groundbreaking technology in a dynamic, hands-on setting, we invite you to join our team.
- • We are seeking a highly experienced Process Lead Manager with a strong background in optical sensor device packaging and contract manufacturing. This pivotal role requires a deep understanding of process integration, yield improvement, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related technical field, coupled with a proven track record of leading NPI (New Product Introduction) processes from wafer to final assembly.
- • In this role, you will spearhead the NPI process team, focusing on wafer fabrication, device packaging, and PCBA (Printed Circuit Board Assembly) process improvement and optimization. Your primary objective will be to enhance yield through meticulous material selection, refinement of existing processes, and strategic specification adjustments, often utilizing Design of Experiments (DOE) for comprehensive corner case analysis.
- • A key aspect of your responsibility will be to foster strong communication channels with the R&D team. You will work closely with them to thoroughly understand design targets, existing specifications, current process flows, and the maturity of each process step, with a keen eye on its impact on overall yield.
- • You will be instrumental in leading critical trade-off discussions between product design and manufacturing process capabilities, ensuring that design decisions are optimized for manufacturability without compromising performance targets.
- • Collaboration with our external partners, including wafer foundries and OSATs (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) providers, will be essential to support both NPI and high-volume production manufacturing.
- • A significant part of your role involves leading process integration checks to guarantee that upstream manufacturing steps do not negatively impact the yield or performance of downstream processes, ensuring a robust and reliable production flow.
- • You will serve as the technical program manager for the operations process team, providing essential leadership and direction. This includes delivering critical Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Reliability (DFR), and Design for Testability (DFT) inputs to the HQ R&D teams during the device tape-out and packaging design phases.
- • Developing and maintaining comprehensive packaging and component specifications will be a core duty, alongside establishing and overseeing inventory tracking systems to ensure material availability and control.
- • Regular audits and site visits to our contract manufacturers and suppliers are required. You will be responsible for evaluating their performance, identifying areas for improvement, and providing detailed reports on findings and recommendations.
- • You will be expected to author technical reports, clearly presenting findings, analyses, and results to both internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring alignment and informed decision-making.
- • A crucial long-term objective is to build and grow the Operations Process Team globally, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- • You will be responsible for writing technical Statements of Work (SOW) for external partners and internal projects, clearly defining project scope, deliverables, and requirements.
- • Driving key performance indicators such as Process Capability (Cp), Process Capability Index (Cpk), and overall yield improvement will be a continuous focus.
- • This role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to quality, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be a key contributor to Lyte's success by ensuring the efficient and high-quality production of our cutting-edge perception systems.
