- • Collaborate with Product Specialists to interpret Singapore-specific payroll compliance requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications for the development of the local payroll engine.
- • Educate internal Product teams on Singapore labor laws, tax regulations, and HR compliance obligations to ensure accurate implementation of payroll features.
- • Validate and test technical implementations by the Development team to confirm alignment with current Singapore payroll legislation and regulatory standards.
- • Develop, update, and maintain legislative specifications for payroll reports, integrations, and system outputs to ensure ongoing compliance with local mandates.
- • Proactively identify and address new or evolving in-country payroll requirements to maintain Deel’s compliance posture in Singapore.
- • Serve as the primary internal subject matter expert on Singapore payroll regulations, providing guidance to cross-functional teams including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success.
- • Ensure that all payroll processing logic within the platform accurately reflects statutory requirements for salary calculations, CPF contributions, tax withholdings, and statutory reporting.
- • Work closely with regional compliance teams to harmonize Singapore-specific rules with broader global payroll frameworks while maintaining jurisdictional accuracy.
- • Document and communicate regulatory changes to internal stakeholders through clear, actionable specifications and training materials.
- • Support the continuous upskilling of Product and Engineering teams on Singapore payroll compliance through workshops, documentation, and one-on-one consultations.
- • Participate in the design and enhancement of multi-region payroll solutions by contributing expertise on Singapore’s unique regulatory environment.
- • Maintain awareness of upcoming legislative changes in Singapore and anticipate their impact on product functionality and customer operations.
- • Ensure all compliance-related product updates are tested, validated, and deployed in alignment with internal quality and audit standards.
- • Interface with external auditors, regulators, or third-party vendors as needed to verify the accuracy and legality of payroll processing in Singapore.
- • Maintain high standards of accuracy and timeliness in all compliance deliverables, ensuring deadlines for regulatory updates are met without delay.
- • Utilize intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to analyze payroll data, validate outputs, and support compliance audits.
- • Clearly communicate complex compliance concepts to non-technical stakeholders in both written and verbal formats.
- • Maintain a proactive approach to compliance awareness, staying ahead of regulatory shifts to prevent customer exposure to legal risk.
