- • As a Payroll Consultant in Workday’s Higher Education Functional Consulting team, you will partner with colleges and universities to design, configure, and deploy Workday Payroll solutions that ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, enabling institutions to focus on their academic missions.
- • Day to day, you will design and configure Workday Payroll solutions by applying deep product expertise to elicit, clarify, and document business requirements; support data conversion, integrations, and testing by collaborating with client and technical teams to migrate legacy payroll data and validate system functionality; drive project execution by communicating status, risks, and milestones with Engagement Managers and Delivery Assurance; and contribute to team growth by mentoring junior consultants, sharing knowledge, and leading internal initiatives to improve Higher Education payroll implementations.
- • The Higher Ed Functional Consulting team is composed of experienced professionals, many with prior Higher Education backgrounds, who understand the unique complexities of academic calendars, shared governance, and public-sector operations. The team fosters a culture of continuous improvement, actively experimenting with Workday’s AI tools to enhance implementation quality and efficiency, and sharing insights to elevate the entire practice.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in Workday Payroll within the Higher Education sector, develop advanced consulting and stakeholder management skills, gain exposure to complex cross-functional implementations, and have the opportunity to grow into Senior or Principal levels while shaping best practices for payroll solutions in mission-driven organizations.
