Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Step into a role where your clinical expertise changes lives every day. As a Pediatric Mental Health Therapist at Hazel Health, you deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed tele-therapy to K-12 students across Washington State during after-school and early-evening hours. You will manage a dynamic caseload of 35–45 students, conducting comprehensive intakes, risk assessments, individual and group sessions, and discharge planning—all through Hazel’s secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform. Every interaction is automatically documented in our cloud-based EMR, freeing you to focus on what you do best: healing.
- • Partner closely with school counselors, nurses, principals, and Hazel’s multidisciplinary care team to craft coordinated care plans that align IEP/504 goals, classroom accommodations, and family objectives. You will join weekly case-conference huddles, present complex cases to our staff psychiatrist, and co-author outcome reports that help districts secure ongoing funding. Your voice is central to bridging gaps between home, school, and community.
- • Provide rapid-response crisis intervention for students experiencing suicidal ideation, self-harm, or acute trauma. You will follow Hazel’s step-by-step safety protocol, mobilize guardians and school personnel within minutes, and arrange higher-level-of-care referrals when indicated. Your calm, decisive actions can literally save a child’s life.
- • Leverage Hazel’s built-in library of CBT, DBT, and solution-focused interventions—or import your favorite evidence-based modules. The platform auto-generates session plans, progress-tracking graphs, and bilingual parent hand-outs, cutting administrative time by 40 % compared to traditional clinics. You will collect and analyze outcome data (PHQ-9, GAD-7, SDQ, PSC-35) at baseline, mid-treatment, and discharge, using dashboards to adjust interventions and demonstrate measurable improvement to district partners. Your data will be aggregated for peer-reviewed publications and national conference posters, giving you publication opportunities without extra research hours.
- • Champion culturally responsive care by integrating each family’s language, values, and socioeconomic context into treatment goals. You will have on-demand access to medical interpreters in 100+ languages and a DEI committee that continuously refines clinical guidelines to reduce disparities in access and outcomes. Your work ensures that every child—regardless of zip code, income, or background—receives world-class mental-health support.
- • Enjoy a schedule designed for true work-life balance: Monday–Thursday 1 pm–8 pm and Friday 12 pm–5 pm (all Pacific), with every weekend, school holiday, and the entire summer break fully off. No on-call, no billing headaches, and no commute—just log in from your home office and start seeing students. Use your summers to travel, pursue continuing education, or simply recharge.
- • Grow professionally through Hazel’s Therapist Growth Pathway: receive two hours of paid training each week in trauma-focused CBT, gender-affirming care, and tele-health best practices; earn CEUs free of charge; and advance to Senior Therapist or Clinical Supervisor roles within 12–18 months if desired. You will also represent Hazel at state school-counseling conferences, virtual parent nights, and legislative briefings, sharing outcome data that proves tele-mental-health narrows the access gap in rural and under-resourced communities. Your voice will shape Washington’s statewide strategy for youth behavioral-health parity.

- • 100 % employer-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and eligible dependents
