📋 Description

• • Be the strategic heartbeat of 32Co’s orthodontic design team—an 80+ person group whose treatment plans power our flagship aligner product. You will sit at the intersection of people, process, and performance, translating business goals into day-to-day operational excellence.
• • Own the full employee lifecycle for designers, from first-day onboarding to long-term career progression. You’ll craft and continuously refine onboarding journeys that get new hires clinically productive within two weeks, while embedding them in our culture of curiosity and clinical rigour.
• • Run weekly 1:1s and monthly pulse surveys to surface blockers, celebrate wins, and keep a real-time read on engagement. You’ll turn these insights into action plans—whether that’s a new Slack kudos channel, a skills workshop, or a workflow tweak that saves each designer 30 minutes a day.
• • Design and iterate scalable performance frameworks: OKRs, 360 feedback loops, and quarterly growth check-ins that link individual impact to patient outcomes. You’ll track metrics such as case throughput, quality scores, and designer NPS, presenting dashboards to Rohan and Nick that guide resourcing decisions.
• • Build recognition rituals that make remote and hybrid designers feel seen. Think virtual “Design Oscars,” shout-outs in company all-hands, and spot bonuses tied to patient success stories. You’ll ensure every win—big or small—is amplified across Hoxton HQ and home offices alike.
• • Map crystal-clear progression pathways—from Junior Designer to Principal Clinical Designer—complete with skill rubrics, learning budgets, and mentorship pairings. Designers will know exactly what “great” looks like and how to get there.
• • Lead cross-functional alignment between Design, Prep, Product & Tech, and Clinical teams. You’ll chair fortnightly syncs, translate clinical constraints into design specs, and run retros that prevent silos before they form.
• • Experiment with AI and automation to remove low-value work. Pilot tools that auto-tag radiographs, auto-generate case summaries, or predict capacity bottlenecks—then roll out the winners team-wide.
• • Own ad-hoc operational projects: rolling out a new L&D platform, redesigning the design studio floor plan for better collaboration, or orchestrating our annual off-site in the Cotswolds. If it makes the team faster, happier, or more connected, it’s in your remit.
• • Champion a culture of psychological safety and clinical excellence. You’ll facilitate workshops on giving constructive feedback, run bias-busting training, and ensure every voice—whether from a junior designer in Lisbon or a senior clinician in London—is heard and valued.
