- • Serve as the primary owner of end-to-end Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) development, optimization, and governance for pharmacy operations, ensuring all workflows are accurately documented and compliant with regulatory and internal quality standards.
- • Partner with cross-functional Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to audit legacy pharmacy workflows, identify operational bottlenecks, and pinpoint critical gaps in process execution across home infusion and alternate care settings.
- • Author clear, standardized, and technically precise SOPs, policy guidelines, and process maps that translate complex clinical and operational procedures into actionable, easy-to-follow instructions for frontline staff.
- • Maintain and enforce a centralized operational knowledge repository with strict version control, approval hierarchies, and timely updates aligned with software changes, regulatory shifts, and evolving business objectives.
- • Translate finalized SOPs into structured training curricula, including slide decks, visual aids, interactive e-learning modules, and job aids designed for maximum retention and practical application.
- • Lead train-the-trainer workshops and ongoing refresher courses for department leads and supervisors to ensure consistent, high-fidelity delivery of operational protocols across all teams.
- • Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), managing course enrollment, tracking completion rates, identifying learning roadblocks, and maintaining accurate training logs for audit readiness.
- • Design and implement competency assessments, practical field tests, and quizzes to objectively measure training effectiveness and employee performance retention in pharmacy operations.
- • Act as a change management advocate by proactively communicating operational updates, mitigating resistance, and ensuring smooth adoption of new processes during system rollouts and organizational transitions.
- • Collaborate with executive leadership to deliver data-driven reports linking SOP updates and training completions to key business KPIs such as error rate reduction and speed-to-productivity.
- • Lead operational readiness initiatives for new pharmacy implementations and system launches, ensuring all site-specific SOPs, onboarding pathways, and compliance training modules are validated and deployed prior to go-live.
- • Ensure all documentation and training materials fully align with industry regulations, legal mandates, and internal quality assurance benchmarks for pharmacy services.
- • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to continuously improve operational efficiency.
- • Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders across clinical, technical, and administrative teams to drive alignment and execution of standardized processes.
🎯 Requirements
- • B.S. or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
- • Minimum 2+ years of experience in an alternate setting/home infusion pharmacy environment
- • Minimum 3+ years of dedicated experience authoring technical documentation/SOPs, managing process improvement initiatives, or directing corporate training programs
- • Current pharmacist license in good standing in the state of residence
- • Deep understanding of pharmacy operations, clinical workflows, and the medication use process
- • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
