- • As a Photonics Process Integration Expert at Ciena, you will lead the end-to-end integration of advanced photonic circuits into complex systems, ensuring superior manufacturability and performance of next-generation optical communication products.
- • You will drive the complete process integration lifecycle from design to high-volume manufacturing, collaborate with design and fabrication teams to refine process flows and ensure Design-for-Manufacturability (DFM), and act as the primary technical liaison with 8-inch and 12-inch silicon wafer foundries.
- • You will spearhead yield and reliability optimization initiatives, manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and foster collaboration across design, test, and manufacturing teams to resolve complex process challenges.
- • You will take proactive initiative to identify and implement innovative solutions to overcome process integration hurdles, while working across global teams in North America, Europe, and Asia.
- • This role offers the opportunity to deepen expertise in photonic circuit integration, semiconductor process optimization, and cross-functional leadership within a global technology leader committed to innovation and inclusivity.
🎯 Requirements
- • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Photonics, or a closely related discipline.
- • Proven track record in 8-inch and 12-inch semiconductor process integration and high-volume manufacturing.
- • Solid expertise in circuit design within an optical or opto-electronic context.
- • Exceptional proficiency in interpreting advanced material and failure analysis techniques (TEM, SEM, EDX, SIMS, XPS, XRD, HRP, AFM).
- • Deep comfort leading 8D problem-solving methodologies and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
- • Outstanding interpersonal and collaboration skills with proven ability to thrive in team environments and work autonomously.
