- • The PKI Engineer will support USCIS PKI management and modernization, including device certificate lifecycle management, NPE certificate authority support, person-centric PKI, PIV-based certificate authentication, and automation of certificate request and approval processes.
- • This is a specialized role that requires federal PKI, DHS PKI, certificate lifecycle, CA operations, and identity integration experience.
- • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) concepts, including certificate management, certificate authorities, and identity integration.
- • The candidate should be familiar with PKI-related technologies, such as X.509, SSL/TLS, and PKCS#12.
- • The PKI Engineer will work closely with the USCIS team to understand their PKI management needs and develop solutions to meet those needs.
- • The candidate should have excellent communication and collaboration skills, as they will be working with cross-functional teams to implement PKI solutions.
- • The PKI Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of the PKI infrastructure, including implementing security controls and monitoring for potential vulnerabilities.
- • The candidate should have a strong understanding of security best practices and be able to apply them to the PKI infrastructure.
- • The PKI Engineer will also be responsible for developing and implementing automation scripts to streamline certificate request and approval processes.
- • The candidate should have experience with scripting languages, such as Python or PowerShell, and be able to write efficient and effective scripts.
- • The PKI Engineer will work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- • The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5+ years of experience in PKI management, certificate lifecycle, and CA operations.
- • Strong understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI) concepts, including certificate management, certificate authorities, and identity integration.
- • Familiarity with PKI-related technologies, such as X.509, SSL/TLS, and PKCS#12.
