- • Build and maintain cloud infrastructure underpinning Lawhive’s AI-native legal platform using AWS, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable daily deployments and rapid feature shipping from idea to production.
- • Own and evolve platform security and compliance posture, implementing access controls, audit trails, and data protection measures for systems handling sensitive legal information.
- • Establish and manage observability systems including monitoring, alerting, and incident response to ensure high reliability and performance of production services.
- • Collaborate directly with product engineering teams to improve developer experience, streamline workflows, and reduce friction in deployment and testing processes.
- • Contribute to system architecture decisions as Lawhive scales its infrastructure to support international expansion and growing user demand.
- • Harden software and systems against security threats in alignment with compliance requirements for a regulated legal services environment.
- • Work within a hybrid model requiring three days per week on-site at the London headquarters, partnering closely with engineers, designers, and legal experts.
- • Maintain and enhance infrastructure as code using Terraform to ensure reproducible, version-controlled, and scalable cloud environments.
- • Support data ingestion pipelines and AI services built with Python, while integrating with TypeScript-based microservices and frontends.
- • Ensure infrastructure decisions align with product-centric engineering practices, including testing, observability, and iterative delivery.
- • Participate in a culture that prioritizes daily shipping, user empathy, technical excellence, and continuous experimentation with cutting-edge AI technologies.
- • Work with PostgreSQL for data storage and contribute to the overall stability and performance of the data layer supporting legal workflows.
- • Engage in cross-functional collaboration to translate legal industry needs into robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions.
- • Contribute to the evolution of Lawhive Labs, the frontier engineering team combining AI, design, and legal expertise to redefine legal services.
🎯 Requirements
- • Deep experience in DevOps, infrastructure, and security within fast-moving start-ups or scale-ups that ship hourly
- • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions), cloud platforms (AWS), containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- • Proven track record in building and maintaining secure, compliant systems handling sensitive data
- • Experience working in product-centric engineering teams with familiarity with TypeScript ecosystems and modern software development practices
- • Strong focus on developer experience and improving team productivity through tooling and automation
- • Security mindset with practical experience implementing access controls, audit systems, and compliance processes
