- • As a Platform Engineer at JOOR, you will design, build, and maintain the internal platform that empowers engineering teams to develop, deploy, and operate software with confidence and autonomy, directly enabling the company’s mission to transform wholesale commerce for global brands and retailers processing over $1.8B in monthly transaction volume.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include improving platform infrastructure using Terraform, Helm, and Kubernetes; building self-service tooling and abstractions to reduce developer friction; treating the platform as an internal product by contributing to roadmaps and gathering feedback; collaborating with engineering teams to align infrastructure with business logic; enhancing development workflows for organizational effectiveness; scaling infrastructure with performance and maintainability in mind; monitoring and administering production systems for 100% observability; and participating in on-call rotations to ensure system reliability, supported by a highly stable platform that minimizes after-hours incidents.
- • You will join a global team of 130+ experts across North America, Europe, and APAC, working for a Series D startup backed by Macquarie Group, Battery Ventures, Canaan Partners, and ITOCHU, where innovation is driven by a CEO recognized as a Glossy 50 "Changemaker" and Forbes "50 Over 50" honoree, fostering a culture of impact and technical excellence.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in cloud-native infrastructure, DevOps practices, and platform engineering while gaining visibility into how technical systems enable business outcomes at scale, positioning you to lead future initiatives in infrastructure automation, developer experience, and system reliability within a high-growth, mission-driven environment.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3-5+ years of professional experience as a DevOps or SRE engineer
- • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, specifically on AWS EKS
- • Experience building infrastructure systems using Terraform and Helm
- • Experience with observability and monitoring tools
- • Experience working with CI/CD frameworks such as Jenkins or ArgoCD
- • Experience building tools in Go or Python from a programming/coding background
