Platform Engineer

📋 Description

• • As a Platform Engineer at Legora, you will play a critical role in enabling engineering teams to deliver software faster, safer, and more reliably by building and maintaining the foundational infrastructure and platform services that power the company’s AI-native legal tech platform. Your work directly impacts the scalability, performance, and resilience of systems used by legal professionals across 40+ countries, ensuring that the platform can handle growing workloads while maintaining high availability and observability.
• • You will collaborate closely with backend, frontend, and AI engineering teams to design and implement infrastructure abstractions, observability pipelines, and reliability practices that reduce toil and accelerate development velocity. This includes defining standards for monitoring, alerting, incident response, and fault tolerance, and helping teams adopt SRE principles in their daily workflows.
• • Day to day, you will: design and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Pulumi (with Azure as primary cloud, plus AWS and GCP for AI workloads); manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance, security, and cost efficiency; implement comprehensive observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces) using modern tooling; lead incident response efforts and drive blameless post-mortems to improve system reliability; build internal tooling and automation to reduce manual toil for developers; conduct reliability reviews and chaos engineering experiments to proactively identify weaknesses; mentor and enable other engineers in adopting platform best practices; and continuously evaluate emerging technologies to improve the platform’s scalability and resilience.
