- • As a Platform Engineer at finmid GmbH, you will own and evolve the foundational infrastructure that enables engineering teams to deliver financial technology solutions for SMEs across Europe, directly impacting the company’s mission to simplify access to capital through innovative, regulated fintech infrastructure.
- • You will design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring reliability, security, and performance for mission-critical financial services while enabling rapid iteration and deployment across product teams.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities include architecting and managing CI/CD pipelines, developing internal developer tooling, evaluating and integrating new technologies, partnering with product and business stakeholders to eliminate bottlenecks, owning production systems end-to-end, and driving improvements in observability, security, and engineering standards.
- • You will work within a distributed-first engineering culture that values pragmatism, curiosity, and cross-functional collaboration, contributing to a transparent and open-minded environment where technical excellence is balanced with real-world impact in regulated financial services.
- • In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow technically and professionally by shaping platform strategy from the ground up, working with modern JVM-based microservices (Kotlin/TypeScript), gaining exposure to regulated fintech systems, and influencing how engineering scales across a fast-growing European fintech.
🎯 Requirements
- • Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS and Kubernetes, including containerization and orchestration using tools like Docker and Terraform.
- • Proficiency in writing clean, maintainable code, with familiarity in Kotlin and/or TypeScript preferred but not required — openness to learning and adapting to our tech stack is essential.
- • Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across product, engineering, and business teams.
