📋 Description

• • As a Platform Engineer (SRE) at ShiftKey, you will ensure the stability, security, and high availability of the company’s healthcare staffing marketplace platform, directly supporting its mission to connect healthcare facilities with licensed professionals and mitigate staffing shortages across America.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include splitting time 50/50 between maintaining system reliability (reducing tech debt, improving deployments, strengthening observability) and active development (building automation, tooling, and contributing to infrastructure migration projects), participating in a weekly 'Sheriff' rotation for ad-hoc infrastructure support, and using observability tools to debug complex distributed system issues.
• • You will join a collaborative engineering team operating under a 'you build it, you run it' culture with a follow-the-sun model that eliminates scheduled on-call duties after 5:00 PM Warsaw time, enabling sustainable work practices while maintaining high platform reliability—evidenced by only 6 minutes of downtime in 2025.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in infrastructure-as-code, cloud operations (AWS), observability, and automation using modern AI tools like ClaudeCode and Cursor, while contributing to a major AWS region migration project that improves platform cost efficiency and availability.
