📋 Description

• As a Platform Reliability Engineer at Apify, you will help strengthen how the company monitors systems, handles incidents, and routes alerts so engineering teams can ship with confidence, directly supporting the mission to put the web to work for AI and real-world impact.
• You will operate and improve the monitoring stack (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry), instrument services, define meaningful metrics and actionable alerts, and reduce noise so teams get reliable signals without alert fatigue.
• You will collaborate with platform and product engineers to define incident response practices, improve communication during outages, support runbooks and status pages, and drive structured learning from incidents to prevent recurrence.
• You will write clear, practical documentation and guidance that teams actually adopt, automate repetitive tasks, and improve developer workflows while working within a culture of blameless learning and continuous improvement.

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience choosing what to measure in production, focusing on signals that reflect customer experience
• Comfort with incident lifecycle: detection, resolution, and follow-up to prevent recurrence
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar, and alert-routing tools like PagerDuty
• Ability to read and write code, follow services across the stack, and collaborate on technical details with engineering teams
• Experience fostering a blameless, learning-focused post-incident culture that drives real improvements
• Skill in writing clear, concise guidance that teams adopt and working constructively toward sound decisions
• Drive to automate repetitive tasks and improve developer workflows
