Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the end-to-end post-trade lifecycle for alternative investments on the CAIS platform, covering distributions, capital calls, valuations, subscriptions, transfers, and redemptions for a client base that oversees ~$6 trillion in assets.
- • Direct a distributed, global operations team—setting clear KPIs, SLAs, and quality gates—while acting as the ultimate escalation point for complex issues that surface across 2,000+ wealth management firms and 50,000+ financial advisors.
- • Architect and continuously refine scalable operating models that can absorb 10× transaction volume without proportional head-count growth, leveraging automation, straight-through processing, and data-driven decision frameworks.
- • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to translate operational pain points into platform enhancements, ensuring that every workflow improvement is codified into the product roadmap and delivered on aggressive timelines.
- • Serve as the primary relationship owner for custodians, fund administrators, transfer agents, and other post-trade service providers, negotiating contracts, driving service-level improvements, and holding partners accountable to CAIS standards.
- • Build and maintain a real-time command center that surfaces operational health metrics, exception queues, and client-experience indicators to senior leadership and frontline teams alike—turning data into decisive action within minutes, not days.
- • Champion a culture of continuous improvement by instituting weekly Kaizen reviews, quarterly OKR resets, and an annual innovation sprint that empowers every team member to propose and pilot new ideas.
- • Develop and retain top talent through individualized growth plans, mentorship circles, and cross-functional rotations that prepare high performers for expanded leadership roles across CAIS.
- • Ensure full regulatory compliance across SEC, CFTC, and global jurisdictions by embedding controls into every workflow, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and leading external examinations with zero findings.
- • Translate complex alternative-investment mechanics into clear, concise communications for advisors and their end-clients, producing white-papers, webinars, and in-platform tooltips that demystify capital calls, K-1s, and waterfall distributions.
- • Lead post-mortems on every significant operational incident, instituting root-cause fixes and sharing lessons learned across the organization to prevent recurrence and strengthen institutional memory.
- • Drive strategic initiatives such as same-day NAV delivery, digital subscription documents, and automated K-1 ingestion—projects that materially reduce friction and reinforce CAIS as the category-defining platform for alts.
- • Represent CAIS at industry conferences, roundtables, and regulatory forums, shaping external perceptions and feeding market intelligence back into the product and operations strategy.
- • Balance long-term vision with ruthless prioritization—knowing when to perfect a process versus when to ship a minimum lovable product that can be iterated in production.
- • Foster an inclusive, high-psychological-safety environment where team members feel empowered to surface risks early, debate constructively, and celebrate collective wins.
