- • As a Principal, AI Engineer - Enablement at Humana, you will be at the forefront of transforming how our enterprise engineers, developers, and business partners operate. You will serve as a senior technical leader within the Engineering & AI Enablement organization, driving strategy and architecture for cutting-edge AI developer tools and products. This role is pivotal in advancing Humana’s technology ecosystem by integrating generative AI, automation, and intelligent agents to enhance productivity and efficiency across the enterprise.
- • You will lead critical platform engineering efforts, focusing on enabling advanced AI developer tools and capabilities that empower Humana’s diverse engineering teams. This involves architecting and driving the implementation of end-to-end solutions that seamlessly integrate AI, automation, and intelligent agents to streamline and optimize the software delivery lifecycle.
- • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with a wide array of cross-functional partners, including senior leadership, fellow engineers, product owners, and business stakeholders. Your ability to mature use cases, meticulously define technical requirements, and deliver solutions that yield tangible, impactful results will be essential.
- • A significant aspect of your role will be providing technical strategy, oversight, and guidance for the development of Humana's Enterprise AI Chatbot product. This includes shaping its direction, ensuring its technical integrity, and driving its successful implementation.
- • You will also play a crucial role in fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence. This involves mentoring and coaching engineering staff, sharing your deep knowledge, and guiding them in their professional development. Furthermore, you will be responsible for educating and enabling teams across Humana on emerging AI technologies, promoting best practices, and establishing robust architectural patterns.
- • Ensuring operational excellence is paramount. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards in code quality, artifact management, and security across all AI platforms and tools. This includes establishing and enforcing best practices to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our AI solutions.
- • You will actively support rapid prototyping and strategic initiatives, working hand-in-hand with product and engineering leads to explore new possibilities and accelerate the adoption of innovative AI technologies.
- • This role requires a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, specifically Azure, AWS, or GCP, and extensive experience with APIs, containerization technologies like Docker, and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes. Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation is also critical for managing and automating our cloud environments.
- • You will leverage your strong proficiency in .NET and Python, along with familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React or Angular, to build and integrate sophisticated AI-powered solutions.
- • Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of AI enablement at Humana, ensuring our technology ecosystem remains at the cutting edge and empowers our teams to deliver exceptional value. 🎯 Requirements
- • Minimum 10 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with at least 3 years in principal or architect-level roles delivering enterprise-scale AI and full stack solutions.
- • Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing platform engineering for developer tools, AI enablement, and complex software delivery pipelines.
- • Extensive experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, Artifactory, and SonarQube.
- • Proven track record collaborating across multiple teams and functions to deliver high-impact AI solutions.
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to articulate strategy, architecture, and technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • Strong proficiency in .NET and Python; familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular).
- • Deep experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, GCP), APIs, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
