• • Join Shield AI's elite Special Projects team, operating under the Office of the CTO, and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of intelligent systems for defense and commercial applications.
• • As a Principal Engineer, C++/Integration, you will be instrumental in steering technology development, ensuring strategic alignment with the CTO's vision through direct contributions and tactical insertions into various teams and technologies across the organization.
• • This role offers a unique opportunity to make significant, forward-thinking contributions to all three core pillars of Hivemind, Shield AI’s comprehensive software ecosystem designed for developing and deploying resilient intelligent teaming for aircraft.
• • Dive deep into Hivemind's architecture, which encompasses four key products: EdgeOS, Pilot, Forge, and Commander.
• • Contribute to EdgeOS, a C++ based high-performance middleware crucial for autonomy development, focusing on its integration and enhancement.
• • Engage with Pilot, the autonomy system for edge devices built upon EdgeOS. You will work with a models-based, modular, and open architecture C++ codebase, driving innovation in autonomous flight capabilities.
• • Collaborate on Forge, Shield AI's AI Factory. This service-oriented architecture, leveraged through an SDK, CLI, and web portal, is built with Go, Python, and Typescript. Your role will involve integrating and optimizing the C++ components within this ecosystem.
• • Contribute to Commander, the software and hardware solution enabling rich human-in-the-loop and human-on-the-loop interactions. This includes the C++ based back-end for interaction with Pilot and the Typescript/React web application UI for mission planning and command and control.
• • Thrive in an environment that embraces ambiguity, where you will own and develop software and software/hardware products, and strategically impact the foundational Hivemind products.
• • Work shoulder-to-shoulder with product teams on critical initiatives, delivering direct contributions to existing products.
• • In parallel, operate in a forward-sprinting capacity within the Special Projects team, developing cutting-edge reference implementations and exploring new technological frontiers.
• • Leverage your expertise to rapidly gain both depth and breadth in your understanding of the entire Hivemind software ecosystem, becoming a subject matter expert.
• • This role serves as a key pipeline for future product and solution engineering leadership across Shield AI, positioning you for significant impact and career growth.
• • Contribute directly to the commercial applications of Hivemind Enterprise, extending Shield AI's groundbreaking technology to new markets and customers.
