This is a pivotal role where you will define and steer the architectural direction of our backend infrastructure, leading critical, large-scale projects that are essential for enhancing scalability, robustness, and innovation across our entire system.
• • You will operate within a dynamic, AI-first, and 100% remote environment, collaborating closely with executive leadership and providing technical guidance to engineering teams to ensure the successful achievement of our strategic objectives. Your work will directly contribute to RecargaPay's mission of delivering the best payment experience for both consumers and small businesses in Brazil, solidifying our position as a leader in the digital financial landscape.
• • A core aspect of your role will involve defining and steering medium- to long-term architectural strategies that are tightly aligned with the company's overarching goals. This includes leading significant technological transformations and modernizations of our most critical systems, ensuring they remain efficient, highly scalable, and exceptionally reliable to meet the demands of our expanding user base and transaction volume.
• • You will serve as the primary technical authority for the Engineering and Architecture Chapters, acting as a champion for best practices, rigorous quality standards, and innovative solutions. This leadership extends to driving the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time and to the highest technical specifications.
• • A key responsibility will be partnering directly with executives to translate complex business visions into tangible, effective technical solutions. This involves evaluating and implementing cutting-edge tools, methodologies, and frameworks that not only enhance operational efficiency but also foster seamless cross-team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
• • You will play a crucial role in mentoring senior engineers and technical leaders, cultivating a strong culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and professional growth within the engineering organization. • • A significant focus will be on promoting the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices across your squad and chapter. You will leverage AI tools for code generation, automated refactoring, test case creation, and technical documentation, actively identifying opportunities where AI can significantly enhance developer productivity, improve code quality, and accelerate team velocity.
• • You will be encouraged to promote emerging technologies and engage in thorough benchmarking exercises to ensure RecargaPay remains at the forefront of industry trends and technological advancements. This proactive approach to innovation will keep our systems competitive and future-proof.
• • Your responsibilities will also include designing high-performance, scalable, and reliable distributed systems, demonstrating expertise in Domain-Driven Design and microservices architecture. You will be expected to have practical experience with AWS and cloud-native development, alongside solid knowledge of DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions.
• • Furthermore, you will apply your demonstrated experience in profiling and tuning Java applications, utilizing production monitoring and observability tools effectively. Practical experience applying AI frameworks in development projects will be essential, alongside a proven ability to learn rapidly and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced, evolving environment. Your deep understanding of core financial domains, such as payments, credit, or open finance, and their impact on business drivers, will be invaluable in architecting and delivering solutions that address complex compliance mandates and enhance user experience.
