• • You will be instrumental in architecting, upgrading, designing, and building robust, scalable infrastructure solutions. This includes hands-on work with cutting-edge technologies such as Kubernetes and AWS, managing relational databases like RDS (MySQL/Postgres), and implementing modern distributed system patterns. Your contributions will directly influence the reliability, recoverability, and scalability of our platform, ensuring Sezzle can meet the demands of a rapidly expanding user base and merchant network.
• • A key aspect of this role involves proactively identifying and resolving potential issues within our systems before they impact production environments. This requires a strategic approach utilizing advanced tooling, sophisticated alerting mechanisms, AI-driven insights, and close collaboration with various engineering teams. Your ability to anticipate problems and implement preventative measures will be critical to maintaining system stability and performance.
• • You will lead critical capacity planning initiatives, conduct rigorous benchmarking, and collaborate with the team to stress-test our systems. Identifying performance bottlenecks and developing solutions to address them will be essential to prepare for and support the continued growth of the business. This includes defining, maintaining, and enforcing Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and robust alerting strategies across our entire infrastructure.
• • This role presents a significant opportunity to lead Sezzle’s AI enablement efforts within the infrastructure domain. You will explore and implement AI and automation solutions to enhance infrastructure reliability, boost developer productivity, and improve internal tooling. By integrating AI, you will help us stay at the forefront of technological advancement and operational efficiency.
• • You will play a vital role in building consistency and scalability across our distributed microservices architecture. This involves ensuring that performance and reliability are maintained at the highest levels, even as the system grows in complexity and traffic. Establishing and evolving engineering best practices for observability, security, and CI/CD across all engineering teams will be a core responsibility. This includes championing a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
