- • As a Principal Platform Engineer at FICO, you will lead the design, implementation, and evolution of cloud-native platform infrastructure that empowers engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions rapidly and reliably, directly supporting FICO’s mission to help businesses make better decisions through analytics software used by 90 of the top 100 US lenders and protecting 4 billion payment cards globally.
- • You will design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud solutions on AWS using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, CloudFormation, and GoLang, while building and maintaining Kubernetes-based platforms with focus on scalability, reliability, and security, including large-scale EKS clusters and service mesh technologies like Istio.
- • You will develop automation for CI/CD pipelines using ArgoCD, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions, implement observability with Grafana, OTEL, and Backstage, create dashboards for system visibility, and enforce security and compliance through policy validation and integration with security scanning tools.
- • You will mentor team members in GitOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure best practices, collaborate across development, operations, and security teams to embed IaC practices organization-wide, and influence architectural decisions through technical leadership in SRE and DevOps methodologies.

🎯 Requirements
- • 10+ years of experience in cloud & platform engineering, DevOps, developer enablement, or infrastructure roles with increasing responsibility.
- • Expert-level proficiency with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, EKS, VPC, WAF, S3, RDS) and deep knowledge of Kubernetes infrastructure management, service mesh (Istio), and API gateways.
- • Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, CircleCI, GitHub Actions), GitOps workflows, and advanced programming in GoLang and Python for platform tooling and automation.
