📋 Description

• As Principal Platform & Release Governance Engineer at Risepoint Holdings LLC, you will define and engineer the enterprise release governance model, transforming manual approval processes into automated, risk-based controls to enable secure, reliable, and high-velocity software delivery across the organization.
• You will design and implement CAB 2.0—a maturity-based release framework that embeds readiness signals into CI/CD pipelines, allowing qualified teams to self-approve releases while ensuring auditability, compliance, and alignment with business risk tolerance.
• You will work within Risepoint’s Engineering Enablement team, which empowers product teams to move fast with guardrails by embedding release safety, security, and operational standards into automated systems, supporting the company’s mission to expand access to affordable, workforce-focused online education.
• You will drive systemic improvement by reducing manual governance, increasing deployment safety, and scaling durable automation across dozens of systems, while influencing engineering, AppSec, QA, and Cloud Operations teams through measurable outcomes and working software.

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years designing or operating enterprise-scale CI/CD and release systems
• Demonstrated experience transforming governance-heavy or approval-driven processes into automated mechanisms
• Proven ability to define technical standards adopted across multiple teams
• Deep expertise in policy-as-code, secure-by-default delivery systems, and automated compliance controls
• Experience embedding safe deployment patterns at scale
• Systems-level thinking across reliability, security, and velocity tradeoffs
