- • As a Principal Product Manager for Agentic Systems at CloudZero, you will own the vision and strategy for translating complex financial and operational signals into trusted, explainable, and safe automated actions—shaping how the platform evolves from insight delivery to intelligent decision-making at scale.
- • You will define the boundaries of automation by determining when systems should observe, recommend, require human approval, or act autonomously, embedding trust, safety, blast radius controls, rollback mechanisms, and auditability into every design to ensure reliability and user confidence.
- • Your day-to-day will involve owning the end-to-end product lifecycle for agentic systems: crafting detailed PRDs and specifications for signal ingestion, normalization, decision logic, and human-in-the-loop controls; partnering with engineering on architectural tradeoffs; collaborating with design to ensure transparency and usability; and driving iterative delivery with clear success criteria and rollback plans.
- • You will engage directly with enterprise customers to validate where automation delivers value and where human oversight is essential, supporting pre- and post-sales conversations with demos, risk assessments, and clear articulation of system capabilities and limitations.
- • Acting as the connective tissue between platform engineering, data engineering, design, security, and customer-facing teams, you will communicate complex system behaviors to both technical and non-technical audiences, influence outcomes without authority, and mentor peers through rigorous technical product decision-making.
- • You will deepen your expertise in systems-level product management, mastering the intersection of cloud infrastructure, data orchestration, automation, and human-centered design—solving some of the hardest problems in cloud cost management and FinOps while building trust in AI-enabled automation.
- • This role offers the opportunity to measure your impact by problem difficulty and outcomes shipped, not team size, as you own a high-impact product area end-to-end in a rapidly scaling SaaS platform backed by over $56M in venture funding and serving mission-critical cloud efficiency needs.
🎯 Requirements
- • 5–8+ years of experience as a Product Manager building B2B SaaS products in technically complex domains
- • Strong product craft, including writing detailed PRDs, specs, and decision documents, and translating ambiguous problems into well-scoped, testable solutions
- • Experience owning products involving automation, orchestration, or decision systems, such as infrastructure or DevOps tooling, data orchestration or pipeline management, observability and operational analytics, or security and remediation workflows
- • Comfort working closely with engineers on system behavior, edge cases, and failure modes
- • Experience designing workflows where trust, correctness, and false positives matter
- • Demonstrated ability to own a complex product area end-to-end and ship outcomes, not just capabilities
