• • As a Principal Software Engineer at MLabs, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and evolving the core backend systems that power critical financial operations. This pivotal role is based in either Hong Kong or Singapore, offering a remote-first work environment with the flexibility to utilize local office spaces.
• • You will be instrumental in shaping the architecture of services responsible for wallet operations, high-volume transaction processing, and complex multi-blockchain integrations, ensuring these systems are not only robust and performant but also exceptionally secure and scalable to meet the demands of global financial markets.
• • This position requires a deep technical understanding coupled with strong leadership capabilities. You will guide architectural decisions, set high engineering standards, and actively mentor senior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• • Your responsibilities will extend to end-to-end ownership of mission-critical projects, from the initial conceptualization and requirements gathering through to production deployment and ongoing iteration. This involves a proactive approach to identifying and resolving complex performance and reliability challenges that arise at a global scale.
• • Collaboration is key in this role. You will work closely with product management, security teams, and company leadership to ensure that technical execution is tightly aligned with strategic business priorities. This partnership is crucial for ensuring that our infrastructure can optimally handle real-world financial workloads and evolving market demands.
• • You will lead the design and development of highly scalable, secure, and efficient backend services and APIs, ensuring they meet stringent performance and reliability requirements.
• • A significant part of your role will involve defining and evolving the architecture for our data infrastructure, including databases (both relational and NoSQL), microservices, and various third-party integrations, ensuring a cohesive and robust system.
• • You will take full ownership of critical projects, managing them from inception to deployment and beyond, ensuring successful delivery and ongoing maintenance.
• • Proactively troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to performance, scalability, and reliability across our global infrastructure.
• • Engage with senior leadership to contribute to the strategic roadmap, helping to define the long-term technical vision and direction of the company.
• • Actively mentor and guide other engineering staff, promoting best practices in software development, system design, and operational excellence.
• • Represent the engineering team in high-level technical discussions, both internally and potentially externally, sharing expertise and driving consensus.
• • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes, including CI/CD pipelines, observability strategies, and adherence to the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SSDLC).
• • You will play a crucial role in ensuring the security posture of our systems, working with the security team to implement and maintain best practices for sensitive financial data and transactions.
