- • As a Principal Software Engineer on Dataminr's Knowledge Platform team, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of a multi-million node knowledge graph that powers real-time event detection and alerting for global clients, directly enabling organizations to anticipate and respond to critical events before they unfold.
- • You will architect and implement scalable data pipelines and services for ingesting, processing, and updating knowledge graph data from diverse multimodal sources (text, image, video, audio, sensor) in over 150 languages, leveraging GenAI/LLMs to automate data quality assessments and knowledge graph enrichment.
- • You will collaborate cross-functionally with data scientists, AI researchers, and software engineers to integrate cutting-edge AI innovations—including Regenerative AI and Agentic AI (Intel Agents)—into the knowledge platform, enabling automated, real-time contextual alerting at scale.
- • You will mentor and influence senior and junior engineers, driving adoption of industry best practices in software craftsmanship, distributed systems, and data engineering while fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation across teams.
- • You will contribute to Dataminr’s mission of using AI for social good by helping build technology that empowers clients in defense, finance, news, and public safety to detect emerging threats, risks, and events earlier than ever before.

🎯 Requirements
- • M.S. in Computer Science; Ph.D. studies in any field is a plus
- • 10+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of implementing strong engineering practices through hands-on coding
- • Proficiency in Python, Java, and Scala, with experience in data engineering, ETL pipelines, and cloud/distributed systems
- • Experience mentoring or influencing senior and junior engineers to elevate team technical capabilities
- • Prior experience working with knowledge graphs is a plus
