- • As a Principal Software Engineer on the Core Platforms Engineering team at Red Hat, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Linux Virtualization and Confidential Computing within Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- • This is a unique opportunity to contribute to foundational technologies that power cloud infrastructure and enterprise solutions worldwide, working remotely from Brazil.
- • You will be instrumental in driving innovation across the entire virtualization stack, from core kernel components like KVM to management layers such as Libvirt, and extending to firmware, device emulation, and associated tools.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the full software development lifecycle, including the design, development, validation, and ongoing support of both existing features and cutting-edge advancements in virtualization and confidential computing.
- • You will actively participate in upstream and downstream projects, contributing to the open-source community and ensuring the robust integration of new functionalities into RHEL.
- • Working within an Agile Scrum framework, you will take end-to-end ownership of specific technical areas, from initial design in upstream development to downstream validation, packaging, and L3 troubleshooting.
- • This includes a shared responsibility for problem resolution, continuous quality engineering, and the critical task of handling vulnerabilities and backporting essential fixes to released versions of RHEL.
- • You will be a technical leader within your team, guiding the development of innovative solutions to complex technical challenges and acting as a key advocate for our customers.
- • The scope of your work will involve the RHEL Virtualization and Confidential Computing ecosystem, encompassing technologies such as Qemu, Libvirt, Attestation technologies, Kata Containers, Virt-Tools, and various testing frameworks and suites.
