- • Principal Technician role supporting NATO’s Communication and Information Agency (NCIA) in Brunssum, Netherlands, ensuring secure and reliable LAN infrastructure for critical defense operations.
- • Day-to-day responsibilities include designing, deploying, and maintaining campus LAN environments; monitoring and troubleshooting network performance; supporting full lifecycle activities from deployment to decommissioning; collaborating with cross-functional teams for network reliability and security; and traveling to remote sites in the Netherlands and Germany as required.
- • Spektrum supports apex purchasers including NATO, UN, EU, and national governments with specialist services in aerospace, defense sales, delivery, and operational expertise, providing professional subject matter support to key client projects.
- • The role offers deep technical growth in enterprise networking, exposure to NATO-grade security environments, and the opportunity to contribute to mission-critical communications infrastructure used by Allied forces under Articles IV and V of the NATO treaty.
🎯 Requirements
- • Strong expertise in campus routing and switching technologies
- • Hands-on experience with Cisco SD-Access, including IS-IS and LISP
- • Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly DNA Center)
- • Solid understanding of network security fundamentals including 802.1X authentication, AAA services, RADIUS and TACACS+ protocols
- • Proficiency with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
- • Minimum certification: valid Cisco CCNA
- • Preferred: CCNP (Enterprise, Service Provider, or Security) or CCIE
- • Valid Security Clearance: Cosmic Top Secret
