📋 Description
- • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies to optimize Humana’s supply portfolio and ensure transparency of spending.
- • Manage pharmaceutical drug purchasing by directly engaging with pharmaceutical companies to secure optimal pricing and contract compliance.
- • Reconcile vendor purchases with invoices, validate pricing accuracy, and ensure adherence to contractual terms and federal/state regulatory guidelines.
- • Develop category strategies using sourcing best practices, including supply market analyses, Porter’s Five Forces, should-cost models, and domain expertise.
- • Create risk- and probability-adjusted multi-year savings forecasts and annual savings goals aligned with organizational objectives.
- • Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of supplier characteristics such as capabilities, financial position, risk profile, and strategic alignment.
- • Implement a supplier segmentation program to tailor sourcing and management approaches based on supplier type and category importance.
- • Build multi-year sourcing pipelines that deliver total value through cost savings, supplier development, and innovation.
- • Collaborate with the Continuous Improvement team to execute cross-functional project implementations.
- • Drive corporate compliance within the preferred-supplier program through end-user change management and communication initiatives.
- • Partner with Procurement Operations and Corporate Payables to ensure seamless procurement experiences for internal associates.
- • Develop and enforce leading sourcing practices that promote environmental sustainability and adherence to Humana’s supplier code of conduct.
- • Mitigate legal and commercial risks across procurement activities to protect organizational interests.
- • Advise executives on functional strategies for high-impact procurement matters, often segmented by business unit or product line.
- • Exercise independent judgment on complex procurement issues by analyzing variable factors and determining optimal courses of action.
- • Leverage internal and external resources efficiently within Humana’s operating model to maximize procurement effectiveness.
- • Present findings, recommendations, and business cases to leadership with clarity and influence.
- • Work autonomously while maintaining strong collaboration across teams and levels of the organization.
- • Accommodate EST/CST working hours to align with team and vendor schedules.
- • Occasional travel to Humana offices may be required for training, meetings, or strategic alignment sessions.
- • Maintain a 40-hour weekly schedule with eligibility for bonus incentives based on company and individual performance.
