- • Serve as the embedded Product Analyst within the Spend domain, partnering directly with Product Managers to shape the product roadmap through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations.
- • Act as the analytical counterpart to Product Managers, challenging assumptions with evidence, identifying hidden patterns in user behavior, and proposing product improvements grounded in transaction-level data.
- • Investigate the root causes of metric fluctuations and customer behavior shifts by drilling into large, complex transactional datasets to uncover actionable insights.
- • Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments across the Spend domain, balancing scientific rigor with the need for rapid iteration and business impact.
- • Ensure robust experimental infrastructure by collaborating with Engineering to validate event tracking, instrumentation, and data quality for all product experiments.
- • Translate complex analytical findings into clear, opinionated narratives tailored for technical and non-technical stakeholders, including engineering, commercial teams, and executives.
- • Own the analytical foundation for the Spend domain, making ambiguous problems tangible by defining clear metrics, framing hypotheses, and driving measurable outcomes.
- • Proactively identify low-hanging fruit opportunities to grow GMV, improve unit economics, and optimize the financial product suite based on user behavior and business performance.
- • Build and maintain scalable data analyses using SQL to extract, transform, and model large-scale transactional data, ensuring accuracy and repeatability across analyses.
- • Partner with cross-functional teams to align analytical priorities with product goals, ensuring data informs every stage of the product lifecycle from ideation to launch.
- • Communicate insights effectively through dashboards, reports, and presentations, enabling self-serve data access and empowering stakeholders to make informed decisions.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the analytics stack by advocating for clean, version-controlled data transformations and supporting the adoption of modern analytics engineering practices.
- • Maintain a deep understanding of the Zilch customer journey, recognizing edge cases and behavioral nuances that impact product performance and financial outcomes.
- • Drive strategic thinking by connecting product performance to broader business outcomes, including margin analysis, interchange economics, and settlement dynamics.
- • Support continuous learning through peer reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentorship from the Lead Product Analyst and senior analytics team members.
- • Contribute to the development of experimentation frameworks and analytical standards that scale with the domain’s growth and evolving product roadmap.
- • Ensure all analyses consider scalability, future-proofing, and the long-term integrity of data pipelines as the business expands to millions of users.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–5 years of experience in product analytics, payments analytics, marketplace analytics, or a closely adjacent quantitative role
- • Strong SQL and data manipulation skills for exploring and transforming large, messy transactional datasets
- • Proven ability to design and analyze A/B tests and quasi-experiments with attention to statistical validity and edge cases
- • Strong product instincts with a focus on customer behavior and business outcomes, not just data tables
- • Clear communication skills to distill complex findings into crisp, opinionated narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
- • Comfort with ambiguity and experience building analytical foundations in fast-evolving domains
