📋 Description

• • The Product and Regional Risk Manager serves as the Chief Risk Officer (PCF-14) for Kraken's regulated entity in Ireland, playing a critical role in strengthening the enterprise-wide risk posture by leading risk identification, assessment, and monitoring across product suites and regional markets.
• • Day to day, the role involves conducting and maintaining risk assessments and RCSAs across core and emerging product lines, performing regional risk assessments, contributing to enterprise risk taxonomy and KRI reporting, owning the regulated entity risk management framework, partnering with Product and Engineering to embed risk considerations early in development, driving proactive identification of emerging risks, leveraging GRC tooling and data analytics for automation, monitoring regulatory developments like MiCAR, serving as the primary point of contact for the Central Bank of Ireland, preparing risk reporting for senior leadership and governance bodies, operating independently across risk activities, and fostering a culture of risk awareness through cross-functional collaboration and training.

• • In this role, the individual will develop expertise in crypto-specific risk frameworks, gain experience liaising with regulators like the Central Bank of Ireland under the PCF-14 regime, build scalable risk programs using automation and data analytics, influence product development with risk-informed guidance, and shape enterprise-wide risk governance while working with senior leadership and global stakeholders in a high-growth, innovative fintech environment.
