You will lead design initiatives across multiple product squads, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and key stakeholders. Your leadership will directly impact the user experience, ensuring clarity, simplicity, and efficiency at every touchpoint, thereby enhancing investor engagement and trust.

• • **Team Leadership & Development:**
• • You will serve as the functional leader for a team of three talented product designers. This involves providing consistent mentorship, delivering regular, constructive feedback, and working in close collaboration with the VP Product to support their professional growth and performance.
• • You will play a key role in future hiring efforts, actively participating in recruiting to expand the design team and cultivate a strong, user-centric design culture within Bunch.
• • Facilitate regular design critiques and reviews, establishing clear quality standards and offering insightful feedback to elevate the team's collective output and individual skills.
• • Strategically allocate projects and responsibilities among team members, considering their individual strengths, development goals, and the overarching business priorities to maximize impact and learning.
• • Conduct performance reviews, set clear objectives, and ensure team members are adequately supported, challenged, and empowered to succeed.
• • **Design Strategy & Operations:**
• • Define, articulate, and champion the overarching design vision and strategy, ensuring it is tightly aligned with Bunch's product roadmap and broader business objectives.
• • Take ownership of the design system, overseeing its development, governance, and evolution to ensure consistency, scalability, and efficiency across the entire platform.
• • Establish and refine repeatable, efficient design workflows for all stages of the product development lifecycle, including wireframing, prototyping, design-to-development handoffs, and user testing.
• • Define and implement structured processes for design handoffs to engineering, ensuring the provision of clearly defined assets, specifications, and interaction details to facilitate smooth implementation.
• • Proactively identify and implement automation solutions, such as leveraging Figma plugins or automating design token management, to significantly enhance team efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including design pattern libraries, usability guidelines, and best practices, to facilitate knowledge sharing and ensure consistent application of design principles.
• • **Hands-On Design Leadership:**
• • Lead complex, high-impact design initiatives from initial ideation through to successful execution, setting a clear example of design excellence and strategic thinking for the team.
• • Champion user research practices, actively participating in or leading user studies and synthesizing insights to inform and shape the design strategy.
• • Create and guide the creation of detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts, user flows, and interaction models to stakeholders and the development team.
• • Employ a data-driven design approach, leveraging user data, behavioral insights, and analytics to inform design decisions, iterate on solutions, and measure the impact of design interventions.
• • Ensure all designs adhere to accessibility standards and promote the creation of inclusive, equitable experiences for all users, regardless of their abilities or background.
• • **Cross-Functional Collaboration:**
• • Foster strong partnerships with the VP Product, product managers, and engineering leads to ensure design solutions are strategically aligned with business objectives and technical feasibility.

• • Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the development process to ensure design feasibility, maintain design integrity, and uphold quality standards during implementation.
