• We are seeking a talented Product Designer to play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic, user experience, and functionality of Parafin s products. This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate closely with product management and engineering teams, translating complex ideas into thoughtful, high-quality user experiences across our entire product suite. Your contributions will span the entire design lifecycle, from initial concept exploration and rapid prototyping to the meticulous refinement of production-ready interfaces.
• This position transcends the mere arrangement of pixels on a screen. You will be entrusted with the ownership of core user journeys from inception to completion, employing prototyping to explore innovative solutions, and injecting a strong, informed perspective on design craft, usability, and overall visual quality. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in cultivating and evolving our design culture as our team expands. If you possess a knack for untangling intricate problems, a deep commitment to design excellence, and a desire to contribute work that tangibly supports the growth of small businesses, you will find Parafin to be an exceptionally rewarding environment.
• Your responsibilities will encompass designing end-to-end product experiences for both novel features and enhancements across Parafin s diverse B2B product offerings. A key aspect of this role involves transforming intricate workflows into intuitive, elegant interfaces that instill clarity and confidence in our users. You will engage in close partnership with product managers to brainstorm ideas, conceptualize and design experiments, and collaboratively define the future trajectory of our products.
• Day-to-day collaboration with engineers will be crucial to ensure the feasibility of designs, their meticulous implementation, and their successful deployment as intended. You will also work hand-in-hand with user researchers, actively participating in the planning, synthesis, and application of insights derived from usability testing, customer interviews, and ongoing product discovery efforts. Embracing innovation, you will explore and integrate AI tools into your design workflow, leveraging them for tasks ranging from research and ideation to prototyping and iterative refinement.
• A keen eye for design aesthetics and visual quality is paramount. You will champion improvements in layout, visual hierarchy, typography, and interaction patterns across the entire product landscape. Contributing to and evolving our design system will be a significant part of your role, involving the maintenance of our component library and ensuring a tight alignment between design and code. You will own projects holistically, encompassing multiple product surfaces, diverse states, edge cases, and critical moments within the user experience. Ultimately, your mission will be to continuously elevate the quality bar for design craft, usability, and execution across all Parafin products.

🎯 Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in product design, demonstrating a strong generalist capability across UX, UI, and interaction design for complex systems.
• Proven experience designing consumer-facing products, with a strong product thinking ability to integrate user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints into cohesive solutions.
• An analytical, systems-oriented mindset capable of simplifying complexity and a comfort working in an iterative environment, incorporating feedback swiftly and thoughtfully.
• A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working closely with engineering teams, coupled with curiosity about or hands-on experience with AI tools in the design workflow.
