📋 Description
- • Join Foxglove Technologies, Inc. as a Product Designer and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of robotics and autonomous systems. We are at the forefront of building the essential data infrastructure that empowers robots operating in the real world, moving them from research labs into production environments across diverse sectors like factories, warehouses, vehicles, and field deployments. When robots encounter issues, exhibit unexpected behavior, or require enhancements, engineers depend critically on comprehensive data to understand the root causes and implement improvements. Foxglove is dedicated to creating the observability, visualization, and data infrastructure that makes this deep understanding possible. Our cutting-edge tools are leveraged by robotics and autonomous systems teams globally to efficiently ingest, store, query, replay, and analyze vast volumes of multimodal sensor data originating from live systems and extensive production fleets.
- • As a Product Designer, you will be instrumental in designing innovative features and impactful improvements across both Foxglove’s web and desktop product offerings. This role demands a collaborative spirit, working hand-in-hand with talented engineers and experienced product managers to conceptualize and refine product solutions that address complex user needs. Your primary challenge will be to translate intricate technical workflows and data-rich environments into clear, intuitive, and user-friendly experiences that empower our users.
- • Your responsibilities will encompass the entire design process, from initial ideation to final execution. This includes creating detailed wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity user interface designs to effectively communicate your design concepts and vision to the team. A crucial aspect of this role involves actively participating in user research initiatives, diligently gathering insights, and incorporating valuable feedback directly from robotics engineers and other end-users. This iterative approach ensures that our designs are not only aesthetically pleasing but also highly functional and aligned with the practical needs of our target audience.
- • You will be expected to iterate rapidly on designs, responding dynamically to evolving product goals, emerging user insights, and inherent technical constraints. Furthermore, you will contribute significantly to the development and maintenance of our design system, ensuring a consistent and cohesive user experience across all facets of the Foxglove product suite. This commitment to consistency is vital for building trust and usability for our sophisticated user base.
- • This is an exceptional opportunity to make a tangible impact at a rapidly growing company during a high-leverage phase of its development. You will be contributing to a mission-driven organization focused on accelerating the advancement of the next generation of robotics and embodied AI. The role offers the chance to collaborate with a team of world-class engineers, designers, and researchers who are deeply passionate about open-source technologies and developer tools. You will experience a high degree of ownership, driving initiatives from conception to completion with significant autonomy and visibility, making this a truly rewarding career move.
