• • As a Product Designer at Almabase Inc., you will be instrumental in shaping the user experience of our B2B SaaS products, which are designed to empower educational institutions to enhance their fundraising efforts and foster active alumni communities. This role goes beyond mere aesthetics; it demands a deep understanding of user needs and the ability to translate complex requirements into elegant, functional, and visually exceptional interfaces. You will be a key player in a dynamic 35-person PDEQ (Product, Design, Engineering, Quality) team, contributing to the entire product lifecycle from initial concept and research through to meticulous execution and shipping.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass the full spectrum of product design. You will dive deep into understanding the distinct needs of various user groups, including advancement professionals, alumni, students, and administrators, each with their unique technical proficiencies and emotional connections to their institutions. A significant part of your role will involve tackling complex design challenges, such as simplifying intricate workflows without compromising essential functionality, creating professional tools that enable users to operate efficiently and accurately, and presenting dense data in an easily digestible format that drives informed action rather than overwhelming analysis. You will be expected to define new interaction patterns for both core and novel workflows, ensuring that the experiences you create are clear, intuitive, and highly effective for professional users navigating complex B2B scenarios.
• • Collaboration will be a cornerstone of your work. You will partner closely with engineers and Product Managers (PMs) to collaboratively define problems and deliver high-quality, impactful solutions. This involves a constant balancing act between maintaining design craft, ensuring development speed, and achieving tangible business results. Your design thinking and advocacy for the user will directly contribute to shaping the product strategy. Furthermore, you will play an active role in nurturing and evolving our design culture. As part of a lean, focused design team, you will contribute to refining design practices, enhancing our existing design system, and collectively raising the bar for design excellence as the company grows. Your insights and contributions will have a lasting influence on how Almabase approaches design for years to come.
• • In this role, you will own the end-to-end product design process for key product areas. This includes conceptualizing new features, defining interaction patterns, and creating intuitive user experiences. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of visual craft and usability, ensuring that the interfaces you design are not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing and aligned with our brand. A critical aspect of your ownership will be the building and evolution of our design system, adhering to atomic design principles to ensure scalability and maintainability.
