📋 Description

• A mid-level product designer role focused on elevating UI and interaction quality across Ecosia’s core products—search, browser, and AI—used by millions, with a mission to drive environmental impact through design.
• Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining and improving UI standards, owning end-to-end user journeys, integrating AI tools into design workflows, advancing the design system with components and motion patterns, and communicating clearly across distributed teams.
• Ecosia is a mission-driven, environmentally focused company based in Berlin with a remote-friendly culture, dedicated to planting trees and fostering inclusivity across a diverse global team of ~100 people.
• The role offers growth into a senior, systems-oriented designer position, with opportunities to build technical fluency in AI, shape product identity, and contribute to meaningful, sustainable digital experiences.

🎯 Requirements

• 3–5 years of relevant product design experience
• Portfolio demonstrating strong UI craft, motion, typography, and attention to detail
• Experience using AI tools in design workflows with interest in building AI agents or automations
• Ability to own end-to-end user journeys and work across product surfaces (not just single screens)
• Self-organized, bias for action, and comfortable navigating ambiguity in a distributed team
