đź“‹ Description
- • As a Product Designer focused on AI Partnerships at Spotify, you will play a pivotal role in shaping how users experience Spotify across third-party platforms, voice assistants, smart devices, and emerging AI-driven interfaces. Your work will directly influence how millions of listeners discover, interact with, and enjoy music and podcasts in contexts beyond the core Spotify app—making the experience feel seamless, intuitive, and unmistakably Spotify, no matter where or how they engage.
- • You will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content designers to define and execute design strategies for Spotify’s integration into partner ecosystems, including automotive systems, smart speakers, wearables, TVs, and AI-powered interfaces. This involves translating user needs and business goals into compelling, adaptive, and inclusive design solutions that maintain brand consistency while respecting the constraints and opportunities of diverse platforms.
- • Your day-to-day responsibilities will include conducting user research to understand behaviors in partner contexts, creating wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for cross-platform experiences, and iterating designs based on feedback from usability testing, stakeholder reviews, and performance metrics. You will also contribute to design systems and guidelines tailored for external integrations, ensuring scalability and coherence across an expanding network of partner touchpoints.
- • You will partner with AI and machine learning teams to explore how generative AI, voice interaction, and contextual personalization can enhance discovery and engagement within partner environments—designing flows that feel natural, anticipatory, and respectful of user privacy and control.
- • You will participate in cross-functional workshops and design sprints to align on vision, prioritize opportunities, and prototype innovative concepts for emerging interaction models such as ambient listening, contextual recommendations, and multimodal interfaces.
- • You will advocate for accessibility and inclusivity in all partner-facing designs, ensuring that experiences work effectively for users of diverse abilities, languages, and cultural contexts, and that they comply with global accessibility standards.
- • You will stay current with evolving trends in AI, voice technology, IoT, and consumer electronics, bringing fresh perspectives to the team on how Spotify can remain at the forefront of innovation in connected experiences.
- • You will help measure the impact of your designs through qualitative and quantitative feedback loops, collaborating with analytics and research teams to assess user satisfaction, engagement, and adoption across partner integrations.
- • Spotify’s Design organization is a globally distributed, highly collaborative team known for its commitment to craft, innovation, and user-centered thinking. You’ll join a passionate group of designers who value experimentation, empathy, and bold thinking—working in an environment that encourages curiosity, continuous learning, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in audio experiences.
- • The AI Partnerships team operates at the cutting edge of Spotify’s expansion strategy, working with some of the world’s most influential technology and automotive partners to bring Spotify to new contexts and audiences. This role offers a unique chance to influence the future of how people interact with music and audio in everyday life—from the car to the living room to the wearable on their wrist.
- • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in designing for complex ecosystems, gain hands-on experience with AI-integrated interfaces, and become a trusted voice in shaping Spotify’s presence beyond its owned apps. You’ll grow your ability to balance systemic thinking with pixel-perfect execution, and to influence outcomes through storytelling, prototyping, and cross-functional collaboration.
- • You will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of work that showcases your ability to solve ambiguous, high-impact problems at the intersection of design, technology, and human behavior—positioning you as a leader in the evolving field of contextual and ambient experience design.
🎯 Requirements
- • Proven experience as a Product Designer or Interaction Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process, particularly in consumer-facing digital products or cross-platform experiences.
- • Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools like Principle, Framer, or ProtoPie.
- • Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards (WCAG), and inclusive design practices.
- • Experience working in collaborative, agile environments with product, engineering, and research teams.
- • Familiarity with voice interfaces, AI-driven interactions, or IoT ecosystems is a strong plus.
- • Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions to diverse stakeholders.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Access to Spotify’s global learning and development resources, including internal workshops, conferences, and tuition reimbursement for relevant courses.
- • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits, including private medical coverage, mental health support, and wellness allowances.
- • Generous paid time off, including vacation, holidays, and parental leave policies that support work-life balance.
- • Equity opportunities and performance-based bonuses aligned with company success.
- • A flexible, hybrid work model that supports autonomy and trust, with access to Spotify’s London office designed for collaboration and creativity.
- • Regular team offsites, design critiques, and cultural events that foster connection and inspiration across the global design community.
