- • This freelance Product Designer - AI Trainer role is critical for bridging human design expertise with artificial intelligence, ensuring that next-generation AI models learn from authentic, real-world product design reasoning rather than theoretical or generic patterns. By refining AI outputs, you directly influence how AI understands design processes, stakeholder dynamics, and practical constraints—making AI tools more reliable and useful for professional designers globally.
- • Day to day, you will: review and refine AI-generated content related to product design workflows, documentation, and decision-making; evaluate AI responses for creative validity, practical feasibility, and alignment with industry standards; draft realistic design scenarios drawn from your professional experience (e.g., client workshops, usability testing, design handoffs); create multi-perspective variations of these scenarios (designer, user, client, developer viewpoints); identify logical gaps, oversights, or weak reasoning in AI outputs—such as missing accessibility considerations or unrealistic timelines; and provide structured, actionable feedback to improve AI training data.
- • You’ll join a specialized team at 10Xteam Inc. that connects top-tier freelance experts with leading AI labs to enhance model performance in niche domains like product design. The company operates at the intersection of human expertise and AI development, focusing on grounding artificial intelligence in real professional judgment. As a freelancer based in the EU or UK, you’ll collaborate remotely with a distributed network of specialists contributing to high-stakes AI training initiatives.
- • In this role, you’ll deepen your understanding of how AI interprets design knowledge, sharpen your ability to articulate tacit design expertise, and gain early access to emerging AI tools through the in-house AI Academy. You’ll also build experience in AI alignment and data curation—skills increasingly valuable as AI integrates into design workflows—while maintaining flexibility to balance this work with your primary career or consulting projects.
🎯 Requirements
- • Senior-level product designer with substantial professional experience in the EU or UK, including end-to-end involvement in design projects from research to implementation.
- • Proven ability to critically evaluate design solutions, documentation, and processes against real-world requirements such as usability, accessibility, feasibility, and stakeholder needs.
- • Strong independent work ethic with comfort delivering structured, evidence-based feedback without supervision.
- • Availability to commit 8–20 hours per week with reliable responsiveness and prompt communication.
- • Fluency in English and comfort working in remote, asynchronous environments using digital collaboration tools.
