📋 Description

• As a Product Designer (Contractor) at Hauler Hero Inc., you will play a pivotal role in transforming the waste and recycling industry by designing intuitive, AI-augmented product experiences that empower hauling companies to operate more efficiently and improve the daily workflows of frontline workers. This role sits at the intersection of design innovation and real-world impact, where your work directly influences how technology serves essential service providers.
• You will design end-to-end product experiences across CRM, Customer Portal, and Mobile platforms, leveraging AI tools like Claude, Cursor, and Figma MCPs to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and iteration—turning ambiguous challenges into shipped solutions in days or hours rather than weeks. Your contributions will shape both the immediate usability and long-term scalability of Hauler Hero’s platform.
• You will join a small, high-impact design team within a Series A startup known for its user-driven roadmap, strong organic growth, and a culture rooted in high standards, direct feedback, and craftsmanship. The team values ownership, systems thinking, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• In this role, you will deepen your expertise in AI-augmented design workflows, evolve a living design system, and gain hands-on experience influencing product strategy in a B2B SaaS environment serving a critical but underserved industry. You’ll sharpen your ability to balance speed with quality, lead through influence, and design for complex operational workflows.

• Design end-to-end product experiences across CRM, Customer Portal, and Mobile interfaces, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and alignment with user needs and business goals.
• Integrate AI tools into your daily workflow to accelerate ideation, generate design variations, prototype interactions, and reduce time from concept to user-testable mockups.
• Own and evolve the design system by defining and maintaining components, styles, tokens, and documentation, ensuring scalability and cohesion across products.
• Plan and conduct user research activities including customer interviews, usability tests, and demo sessions to gather qualitative insights that inform design decisions.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data—such as user behavior, feedback, and metrics—to validate assumptions and prioritize design improvements.
• Rapidly move between discovery and execution, synthesizing research findings into actionable design directions without relying on rigid, phased processes.
• Translate ambiguous or poorly defined problems into clear, structured design challenges through framing, synthesis, and collaborative ideation.
• Participate in design critiques, contribute to team culture, and uphold high standards of craft, accessibility, and inclusivity in all deliverables.

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of product design experience in SaaS (B2B or B2C)
• Strong Figma skills including auto-layout, variants, variables, and design tokens
• Experience using AI tools in design workflows or a strong willingness to adopt them quickly
• Working knowledge of front-end constraints (HTML, CSS, React)
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration with US-based teams
