Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Shape the future of expert help: As a Product Designer II at JustAnswer, you will own end-to-end design for core product experiences that serve millions of customers and thousands of verified professionals across 196 countries. Your work will directly influence how people get fast, trustworthy answers to life’s most pressing questions—from fixing a boiler at midnight to navigating complex legal issues.
- • Drive AI-first design innovation: Leverage our unique AI + Human platform to craft intuitive, ethical, and scalable interfaces that blend conversational AI with human expertise. You’ll prototype, test, and ship features that make AI feel helpful, not robotic, while preserving the empathy and trust that only real professionals can provide.
- • Lead cross-functional discovery: Partner daily with Product Managers, Engineers, Data Scientists, and domain experts to uncover user pain points, map journeys, and prioritize opportunities. You will facilitate workshops, run design sprints, and translate research insights into clear problem statements and measurable success metrics.
- • Own the full design lifecycle: From early sketches and wireframes to high-fidelity prototypes and pixel-perfect UI specs, you will shepherd every stage of the design process. You’ll maintain and evolve our design system, ensuring consistency across web, iOS, and Android touchpoints while pushing the boundaries of what’s possible.
- • Champion data-informed creativity: Work closely with our Data and Experimentation teams to design A/B tests, analyze user behavior, and iterate rapidly. You’ll balance qualitative empathy with quantitative rigor, turning dashboards and heatmaps into actionable design improvements that move core KPIs like conversion, satisfaction, and expert utilization.
- • Elevate accessibility and inclusivity: Ensure every interaction meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA standards. You’ll conduct accessibility audits, partner with QA, and mentor peers on inclusive design practices so that our platform is usable by everyone, regardless of ability or device.
- • Mentor and scale the craft: As a Level II designer, you will guide junior designers through critiques, pair design sessions, and constructive feedback. You’ll contribute to our evolving design ops playbook—streamlining workflows, documenting best practices, and fostering a culture of curiosity and craftsmanship.
- • Remote-first collaboration: Thrive in a fully distributed environment where asynchronous communication is the norm. You’ll use tools like Figma, Miro, Slack, and Loom to keep stakeholders aligned across time zones, while still finding moments for virtual coffee chats and spontaneous creative jams.
- • Impact you can measure: Within your first 90 days, you will ship at least one major feature that improves customer wait time or expert efficiency. Within your first year, your portfolio will showcase measurable lifts in NPS, CSAT, or revenue directly tied to design decisions you championed.
- • Join a mission-driven culture: At JustAnswer, we believe expert knowledge should be accessible to all. Your designs will help democratize professional services, reduce anxiety for people in crisis, and create economic opportunity for experts worldwide. Every pixel you push has the potential to change a life.
