Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • As a Product Manager at Corbalt LLC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping software infrastructure that directly supports critical government missions, including healthcare access for vulnerable populations and public service modernization. Your work will translate complex, ambiguous challenges into clear, impactful product strategies that improve how people interact with essential public services.
- • You will partner closely with engineering, internal teams, and external government stakeholders to define product vision, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment between technical execution and user-centered outcomes, driving meaningful impact in high-stakes, mission-driven environments.
- • Day to day, you will own product direction across multiple teams, making disciplined prioritization decisions that balance business goals, user needs, and technical feasibility while maintaining a clear focus on delivering measurable outcomes.
- • You will translate ambiguous problems into well-defined opportunities by asking insightful questions, synthesizing input from diverse stakeholders, and shaping what gets built and why—ensuring that every feature or initiative serves a clear purpose.
- • You will lead roadmap development, actively managing tradeoffs across competing priorities, timelines, and resource constraints, while communicating progress, risks, and outcomes clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- • You will produce concise, actionable reporting on product health, delivery metrics, SLOs, and impact, enabling data-informed decisions and continuous improvement across teams.
- • You will engage comfortably with engineers to understand technical constraints and possibilities, distilling complex issues into actionable product insights without needing to code, but speaking the language of systems and infrastructure.
- • You will demonstrate strong organizational skills, operating effectively across multiple workstreams and teams, ensuring alignment, transparency, and momentum even in complex, distributed environments.
- • Corbalt is a small, mission-driven team of technologists with deep experience at Google, Palantir, Bell Labs, Microsoft, and Silicon Valley startups, united by a shared commitment to improving public services through thoughtful, scalable technology.
- • We work remotely by default across the U.S., fostering a kind, collaborative culture where curiosity, grit, and kindness are valued as much as technical skill—making this role ideal for someone who thrives in autonomous, purpose-driven settings.
- • In this role, you will learn how to navigate complex government contracting environments while building innovative, user-centered infrastructure, gaining rare exposure to the intersection of public policy, technology, and product leadership.
- • You will achieve tangible impact by helping to modernize critical systems that serve millions—directly contributing to improved access to healthcare, benefits, and public services for underserved communities.
🎯 Requirements
- • 3–6+ years of product management experience, with a proven track record of owning product strategy and execution in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- • Experience managing technical products such as platforms, infrastructure, DevSecOps tools, or internal developer tools, with comfort engaging engineers on technical tradeoffs and constraints.
- • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, ramp quickly in ambiguous settings, and translate unclear problems into clear, actionable product opportunities.
- • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying product vision, progress, and risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences, including government stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- • Strong product judgment: ability to make sound prioritization decisions under uncertainty, balancing user impact, business goals, and technical feasibility.
- • Kindness, growth-oriented mindset, and intrinsic motivation to learn and do great work—aligned with Corbalt’s values of resilience, collaboration, and ethical impact.
🏖️ Benefits
- • Competitive base salary range of $128,496 - $168,912 per year, reflecting the role’s responsibility and market value for senior product management talent.
- • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits to support your health and well-being.
- • Profit sharing and discretionary bonuses, plus a 3% company match to your 401k, helping you build long-term financial security.
- • Paid vacation, sick time, and company holidays, enabling rest and recovery to sustain high performance and personal well-being.
- • Reimbursement for reasonable work-related expenses, ensuring you have the tools and support needed to succeed remotely.
- • Opportunities to attend in-person company retreats, fostering connection, collaboration, and team cohesion despite our distributed workforce.
