📋 Description

• • As a Production Engineer (SRE) at ShiftKey, you will ensure the stability, security, and high availability of the company’s healthcare staffing marketplace platform, directly supporting its mission to mitigate healthcare workforce shortages by enabling reliable connections between facilities and professionals.
• • Your day-to-day responsibilities include splitting time 50/50 between maintaining system reliability (reducing tech debt, improving deployments, strengthening observability) and active development (building automation and tooling), participating in a weekly 'Sheriff' rotation for infrastructure support, investigating logs and debugging distributed system issues, and using AI tools like ClaudeCode and Cursor to automate toil while maintaining engineering rigor.
• • You will join a collaborative engineering team operating under a 'you build it, you run it' culture with a follow-the-sun model that eliminates scheduled on-call duties after 5:00 PM Warsaw time, supported by US-based counterparts to ensure sustainable workloads and prevent burnout.
• • In this role, you will deepen your expertise in infrastructure-as-code, cloud operations on AWS, observability-driven troubleshooting, and AI-augmented engineering practices, while contributing to a major platform migration to a new AWS region to improve cost efficiency and availability.
