Full Job Description
đź“‹ Description
- • Own the full lifecycle of hardware-focused projects—from initial concept through launch, sunsetting, or continuous improvement—ensuring every initiative aligns with Magnet Forensics’ mission to modernize digital investigations and protect communities worldwide.
- • Build and lead cross-functional project teams that span supply chain, engineering, quality assurance, regulatory affairs, finance, and customer success, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and relentless customer focus.
- • Translate high-level strategic goals into detailed, executable project plans: define scope, create realistic timelines, allocate resources, and establish measurable success criteria that balance technical feasibility, cost, and market readiness.
- • Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders and external hardware suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners; negotiate priorities, resolve conflicts, and secure commitments that keep critical paths on schedule despite global component shortages or sudden obsolescence events.
- • Implement rigorous risk management practices—identify technical, financial, and operational risks early, quantify impact and probability, and drive cross-functional decisions on risk acceptance, mitigation, or elimination to protect both schedule integrity and product quality.
- • Champion change management across the organization: communicate scope changes, timeline shifts, or resource re-allocations with clarity, empathy, and data-backed rationale; ensure every impacted team understands the “why” behind each pivot.
- • Track and report on product work items across multiple organizational groups using modern project management tooling (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, or similar), maintaining a single source of truth that executives, engineers, and field teams can trust.
- • Deliver concise, executive-level status updates on a weekly and monthly cadence; escalate blockers, resource gaps, or strategic misalignments to senior leadership with proposed solutions and trade-off analyses.
- • Collaborate with finance and business operations to ensure every project meets or exceeds its ROI targets; monitor cost drivers, forecast spend, and adjust scope or timelines proactively when financial thresholds are at risk.
- • Drive post-launch retrospectives and continuous-improvement initiatives, capturing lessons learned, codifying best practices, and feeding insights back into future hardware development cycles to accelerate time-to-market and reduce cost.
- • Partner with hardware suppliers to implement scalable, repeatable processes—such as vendor scorecards, early-supplier-involvement programs, and demand-driven MRP parameters—that create a resilient, high-performance supply chain capable of supporting rapid growth.
- • Mentor junior project coordinators and analysts, sharing your expertise in agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies while modeling Magnet’s CODE values: Care, Own, Dedicate, Evolve.
- • Contribute to the evolution of the Project Management Office (PMO) by refining templates, playbooks, and governance standards that will be used across hardware, software, and SaaS product lines.
- • Stay current on emerging trends in electronics manufacturing, global logistics, and supply-chain risk management; bring external insights into roadmap discussions to ensure Magnet Forensics remains at the forefront of digital forensics innovation.
