- • Serve as the primary point of contact between clients and municipal permitting authorities across Illinois, ensuring seamless progression of commercial construction projects from planning to approval.
- • Gain and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date knowledge of local permitting regulations, building codes, and zoning requirements specific to Illinois jurisdictions to guide clients accurately and avoid delays.
- • Advise architects, builders, and retailers on complex permitting workflows, providing clear, actionable guidance to expedite approvals and minimize unexpected regulatory hurdles.
- • Proactively manage multiple permitting projects concurrently, tracking critical milestones, deadlines, and submission requirements to ensure timely completion across diverse project types including retail rollouts, data centers, and EV charging networks.
- • Build and sustain strong, collaborative relationships with municipal planners, building inspectors, and zoning officials to foster trust, accelerate review cycles, and resolve bottlenecks before they impact timelines.
- • Anticipate and mitigate permitting roadblocks by identifying potential compliance issues early and implementing corrective strategies aligned with local jurisdictional expectations.
- • Coordinate internally with Pulley’s product, engineering, and leadership teams to translate client challenges and permitting pain points into actionable product improvements and operational enhancements.
- • Document and refine best practices for permitting workflows based on real-world project outcomes, contributing to standardized processes that improve scalability and consistency across the platform.
- • Utilize Pulley’s AI-powered permitting platform to track project status, upload documentation, and leverage data-driven insights to optimize submission strategies and forecasting accuracy.
- • Ensure all client communications are timely, transparent, and professional, maintaining high levels of satisfaction through proactive updates and clear expectations management.
- • Conduct regular internal debriefs to share lessons learned from permitting successes and failures, enabling continuous improvement across the permitting operations team.
- • Represent Pulley’s mission of transforming construction permitting by demonstrating expertise, reliability, and a commitment to reducing manual work and uncertainty in the building process.
- • Maintain accurate records of all permitting submissions, correspondence, and approvals in internal systems to support reporting, compliance, and client auditing requirements.
- • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align permitting timelines with broader project schedules, including design, procurement, and construction phases.
- • Stay informed of evolving municipal policies, rule changes, and emerging trends in commercial permitting across Illinois to ensure Pulley’s guidance remains current and authoritative.
- • Participate in training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to onboard new team members and strengthen organizational expertise in regional permitting landscapes.
- • Contribute to client onboarding by explaining permitting processes, expected timelines, and Pulley’s role in facilitating approvals, setting clear performance benchmarks from the outset.
- • Escalate complex or unresolved permitting issues to senior leadership with well-documented context, proposed solutions, and risk assessments to drive strategic decision-making.
